PROGRAM

A joint endeavor of the United Association of Plumbers, Pipefitters and Steamfitters, Local Union #102 and signatory mechanical contractors in the East Tennessee Area. Classroom insruction is combined with on the job experience during this five (5) year program. When completed, the successful graduate will qualify as a Journeyman Plumber, Pipefitter and Steamfitter with competency in pipe welding, pipe fitting, HVAC-R, plan reading and interpretation, plumbing codes, valve repair, industrial rigging and other mechanical disciplines.

APPLICATIONS

Inquiries whould be directed to the JATC Office (865-523-7413) for details of openings and the application process. Valid driver’s license, birth certificate, high school transcript or GED test scores and transportation are required. All applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Prior experience in a mechanical field or at a technical trade school will be taken into consideration. The recruitment, selection, employment and training of apprentices shall be without discrimination because of race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, or sexual orientation.
